i had intended to share a video this month on the 6-month anniversary of making it but stuff came up and i kinda forgot and honestly only remembered just now after typing "blogger.com" but even if i wanted to share now it would feel dumb
i think more ppl should call me fat actually
had asked my coworkers about people that annoy them yesterday. then today someone was annoying me and i considered telling them about her but i didn't cause it felt dumb
got a hold of this three-panel mirror/trinket shelf that i know areli would love. it's for her birthday in a few days. she loves mirrors and gold and trinkets. one of the side mirrors was missing, so using some 70s tile mirror with gold marbling i replaced both to keep it symmetrical. adds more gold, makes the thing complete. when stapling the wood panel down to keep the mirror in place i didnt look at how much real estate i had on every edge to staple into. i looked at two and figured they all had the same amount. so when i did the third side i shot into the pane and shattered it. lucky enough to have been able to find more tiles but the ones i did find had wax dripped on them which was a pain to get off. scrubbing worked somewhat but had to keep boiling water and pouring that over it to get it off. even now, though not wax, there is a discoloration to it due to age that bothers me some. she'll like it though. gonna make her a matcha flan, which, personally, i dont like matcha, tastes like grass to me, in a bad way, like, yerba mate is grass tooo, but i like that lowkey...., anyway it feels very comical to make so i'm going through with it. not messing around with black sesame yet though that's a bit much
i made a different flan a little while ago for cisco's bday. first time i had in months. same recipe except i subbed the regular condensed milk for an ube flavored one. gave the flan a very deep purple color. looked evil. tasted like trix or fruity pebbles. people liked it. jack asked me "what business do you have cooking with ube" as a joke. cause he's filipino. and i'm only filipino-passing
i want to write thoughts out on here but i have hope that i won't need to
when my dad texted me on sunday that my mom was in the e.r. because of her foot i 1) was worried about what happened (she is diabetic) and 2) was like wow another trip to the e.r. place keeps calling my name... it wasn't anything serious but my inability to communicate that in an effective manner has backfired on me
